Freedom in Christ

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1

At Pleasant Valley we have weekend Celebrations and various options to be in Community.
PV Community groups are designed to provide each one of us opportunities for intentional spiritual growth and meaningful relationships.

The Freedom in Christ Ministry is all about freeing God’s people to be growing, fruitful disciples.
Many Christians are “stuck.” They may have started out well, but something happened on the
road to growth and fruitful service in Christ. Rather than flourishing in a fertile garden they
find themselves alone by the side of the road or in a rut or a ditch –  unable, unwilling or
unmotivated to grow. They may still come to church, but living a life of freedom, joy, victory
and service for Christ seems like a distant dream.

No one enjoys being spiritually “stuck.” Everyone wants their life to be useful and fruitful.
Christian leaders yearn to see their people growing strong in Christ, fruitfully serving the needs
of the church and the community. They know that Christ is the answer and that truth sets us free,
but how does that happen?

Freedom in Christ helps people understand who they are in Christ and who Christ is in them.

At Pleasant Valley Church, the following opportunities are available for experiencing this freedom:

• An eight-week discipleship course for up to four people
• A small group video-driven Bible study
• A one-on-one personal appointment with an encourager who leads the participant through seven steps to gain freedom from areas in which they feel “stuck.”
