The Middle School Ministry exists to lead middle school students into a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
From Pastor Chad, Interim MSM Pastor
If you were to peel back my Worship Pastor skin, you would find a Youth Pastor. I had the privilege of serving for nine years, first as a Junior High Pastor and then as High School Pastor. My passion for worship grew out of helping students experience the presence of Jesus. It is my honor to step into this role at PV! I will still be serving as Pastor of Worship Arts, so pray for me. I am excited to see what God has for our Middle School Ministry this year.
Sunday Morning Live (SML)
SML is a Sunday morning class designed to give students in grades 6-8 an opportunity to participate in a small group of peers, led by a caring adult. They are challenged to grow deeper in their faith, as we dig into Scripture and discuss how to apply the things we are learning to our daily lives. Scripture memory is an important element of SML. Students meet every Sunday at 9am in room 206.
SML will continue straight through Memorial Day and into June. There will not be a break. Summer class kicks off on June 2, students entering 6th grade in the Fall may join us then.
The Net
The Net is a friendly, welcoming, dynamic evening where we engage students with games, videos, music and large group lessons that will introduce them to the life that Jesus calls them to, followed by small groups for discussions. Students are encouraged to bring their friends each week! Open to all 6th-8th graders!
Wednesday nights 7-8:30.
Final Net: Wednesday, May 29.
WildSide (MSM Leadership Team)
Open to all 6-8th grade students with a desire to be servant leaders. WildSide will now meet at church, for 30 minutes every 3rd Wednesday, right before The Net. This will provide an opportunity for our MSM students to be challenged in their growth as a leader and immediately put it to practice at The Net.
WildSide has concluded for the school year.
MSM Serving Opportunities
One of the most effective ways to grow in your relationship with Jesus is to give Him away to someone else. There are Middle School students here who want to know Jesus. They need mentors and relationships to help them in their journey. I believe that God is tapping some of you on the shoulder.
