Sundays 8:30am, 10:30am, & 5:30pm, plus special events!

PV’s ministry for babies, tots, and kids up to 4th grade.

Mission:

To See Every Child Made Alive in Jesus Christ

Philosophy:

Safe:
As families give us the honor of entrusting us to care for their children each week, we believe safety is a vital part of what happens within our Children’s Ministry. That is why every volunteer is screened with an interview and a background check and every child’s name tag is matched to a parent receipt number upon arrival

Age Appropriate:
We highly value children learning about Jesus in a way that they understand. Our environments and lesson materials are selected with the physical, mental and emotional needs of each child in mind.

Fun:
We all love fun, and we know that when children have fun at church they can not wait to come back. We desire for children to grow up loving church, so we are passionate about creating fun ways for children to experience and learn about Jesus.

Baby & Toddler Zones

The Baby/Toddler Zone (BTZ) is located through the Café and just after the library when you walk in the main doors. The Baby Zone welcomes birth through steady walkers. The Toddler Zone is for walkers through 33 months.

Our Mission is to support and loving our families by providing the best care possible for your child!  Our goal is to provide a warm, loving, fun and safe place where each little child can experience the love of Jesus.

When should I transition my child into the Preschool Room?
If your child is in the Toddler Zone, you may be wondering when it is time to transition into Preschool.  The Toddler Zone welcomes steady walkers up to 33 months of age.  Our youngest Preschool class welcomes children 24 months and up.  As you can see, there is an overlap because children develop at their own unique pace.
Our hope is that your child will be fully engaged while they are with us.  You and your BTZ leader may notice some signs showing your child is ready to move to the Preschool room. If your child is potty trained and is ready for more structured learning during his or her time here then your child may be ready to move into the Kids’ Church Preschool room (#108).  Feel free to make that move.  We may also contact you personally if we see signs that your child is ready to transition.

Kids’ Church – Preschool and Kindergarten

Our Preschool/Kindergarten room is located downstairs in room 111. We welcome Preschoolers beginning at the age range of 24-33 months, through Kindergarten.

Children are able to enjoy games, worship, and biblical teaching every week. We also deeply value growing closer to God together which is why each Sunday we divide into small groups for crafts, snacks, and fun activities that help us remember the Bible Story and memory verse each week.

Children should be potty trained and ready for an age appropriate structured classroom.  Their ages on or near September 1st dictate classrooms for the year.

Kids’ Church – 1st through 4th Grade

Your child can expect to have a blast while getting to know other children and caring adults, as well as, participating in high-energy and interactive Bible Lessons and worship.

Each week we break students up into small groups where they are able to have fun learning how to apply the Bible Story to their lives.  Your children get special attention as we explore how to practically live out what God teaches in the Bible, in kid-relevant ways.

The Buddy Base

10:30am service only. For anyone birth-6th grade.

The Buddy Base is a specially designed sensory room created to come alongside children, and provide them with a loving and caring atmosphere and close trusting relationships so they can learn more about our Savior, Jesus.

At drop off, each child will be paired up with a specially trained Buddy. From there, our Buddy will either go with their child(ren) to normal programming or have programming in The Buddy Base depending on that child’s specific needs. We will be working directly with the parents/guardians of each child to give the best care possible.

This room is for anyone- from children that could simply use a little bit of extra support to children that have special needs. If you want to get involved or have any questions regarding The Buddy Base, please email kirsten@pvwinona.com.

Serving Opportunities

Do you love kids?  God has an amazing opportunity for you to serve the kids at PV. There are many open volunteer needs to work with kids on Sundays at PV! Some of the opportunities include leading a small group, greeting families at a check-in station, teaching Bible lessons, or working one on one with kids as a “buddy” in the buddy base.

Kids Church Team: We are seeking regular staffing and subs for our Baby Toddler Zone (BTZ), Pre/K, and 1st-4th grade Sunday morning classrooms at 8:30 and 10:30am.

BTZ Support Team – Enjoy cleaning and working behind the scenes? The Baby Toddler Zone seeks individuals to join the team to clean and keep supplies stocked on a once a month rotation. Tasks would take 30-45 minutes, and must be done on Saturdays or  Sundays before church services.

If you’re interested, please contact Kirsten, kirsten@pvwinona.com, 452.5518.

Safety Procedures

You may check in your child at any available Check In Station. Once you have been checked in, your child’s name tag will be printed, as well as, a receipt that contains a matching code to your child’s name tag. Your child will need to wear their name tag, while you will keep the matching tag/receipt. Once your child has his/her name tag you may drop him/her off in her Kids Church Room. After the service, you will return to the child’s room and give the staff member your receipt in order for your child to be released back to you.

If there is a time we need to contact you during the service we will send you a text, and your child’s identification code and room will appear on the corner of the screen in the auditorium. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and go to the appropriate Kids Church Area.
Our children’s ministries aim to provide a safe, fun, active environment for your children, with age-appropriate learning opportunities.
