Why take a PVI course?

Pleasant Valley Church is a place where people are experiencing new beginnings in Christ. People, young and old, experiencing the great blessing of salvation. This is just the beginning. God desires all His Children to grow spiritually toward maturity and be equipped to live significant and fruitful lives.

Spiritual maturity involves progressive change in three key areas of our lives:

Character: Our Heart—Becoming progressively more like Christ in our attitudes and actions.

Knowledge: Our Head—Grasping the major themes of Scripture and forging an understanding of faith and life based on Scripture.

Skill: Our Hands—Developing our gifts and skills and employing them for ministry in the church and world for the purpose of bringing glory to God.

PVI exists to encourage growth in these vital areas in people’s lives. It is primarily a teaching and equipping ministry. Various topics and issues will be offered in one of three different formats:

Weekly classes
Seminars
Conferences

Who is Pleasant Valley Institute For?

It’s for people who are serious about their
relationship with Christ and the life they are living with Him.

It’s for people who are committed to learning more about their Christian faith and how to live that faith more abundantly.

It’s for people who want to gain a better grasp of God’s Word.

It’s for people who want to discover their own “divine design” and develop the leader within them so they can become more effective in life and ministry.

It’s for people who are willing to devote time to study outside of class. The amount varies depending on the class, but ranges from a minimum of one hour to four hours of weekly preparation.

It’s for both individuals and small groups. You can register individually, or an entire existing small group can register.

Why is Pleasant Valley Institute important?
“PVI is one of the most important things we are doing here at Pleasant Valley. It’s important because we desire to be a part of what God wants to do in people’s lives—real life change involving character, knowledge, and skill.”
