Senior’s Ministry

Senior Ministries focuses on those who are at least fifty-five years of age. Each person is responsible for his or her menu choice. Meetings include a time for humor, a short devotional based on God’s Word, and a program of special interests to Seniors. We usually adjourn about 10:45. Each meeting is publicized in the worship bulletin and a sign-up opportunity is on the tear-off response card. While we encourage regular attenders from Pleasant Valley to join us, and be a part of this ministry, we also welcome people from other churches and our community.

Exceptions to our meeting times do occur periodically. In July we have an indoor picnic and in December we have a Christmas brunch.

What’s the Table? The Table is a relational, online web application, custom-tailored for Pleasant church. We aim to engage the community, empower leaders, and move people beyond the pews and into authentic, life-changing friendships.
If you have not already joined the Table, here’ s how:

2) Click “I’m new here”
3) Click “Join” and follow the steps to sign-up.
4) Fill out your profile and make sure to add a picture.

Enjoy joining the church family to pray, meet, learn and serve with each other beyond Sundays. You can post and read discussions and serving opportunities. You can view and register for upcoming events. You can join a group and keep up to date with your group members!

Small Groups

While Seniors can be in any small group, there is a special small group that meets at the church. This is a time for sharing, praying for one another and other needs, and group study and discussion on the selected topic. All are invited. Contact Bob Bollant at 454-4278 to get involved in this small group. It is the vision of the Senior Ministries that other small groups begin as well.

My husband and I have enjoyed the privilege of coming to the Senior Ministries meetings. It has been a rewarding experience with a wealth of information shared by the speakers. It is such a blessing to find a group that is interested in spiritual topics and is Christ centered. The Senior Ministries fellowship is an enjoyable time for us to intermingle with fellow believers.  The guest speakers have always been a blessing to us in that we’ve been made more aware of how God works in all of our lives.  Considering the size of our congregation, Senior Ministries enables us to become better acquainted with others.  We feel we continue to grow spiritually since becoming a part of this ministry.
