ReachGlobal Crisis Response is mobilizing a response to the wildfires in the Greater Los Angeles area. We would love it if you would ask the Lord how you are able to help out, whether through prayer, financial giving, or in other ways to help those who have lost their homes.
Get StartedAfter Israel returned from exile, they began to rebuild the Temple. But then life happened (as it does) and they got distracted. God spoke through the prophet Haggai and said this: “Is it a time for you to be living in your paneled houses while this house remains a ruin?” As is often the case, God wasn’t merely concerned about the building, but their hearts.
Our hearts can easily become distracted living in 2024 and we can forget that we are on mission with God to build his House (The Church) across the whole world. We resist this by saying “Yes” to opportunities that push us outside of our own Jerusalem. Instead of focusing solely on our own needs, we accept the responsibility and opportunity to partner with Jesus in the more difficult aspects of his Kingdom.
- The Governance Board has approved a special project to raise $10,000.
- This will allow Sybil to purchase a house for children and their caretakers who find themselves in immediate need for housing.
- The house will be a resource for future situations where Sybil’s Kids and their caretakers need shelter and provision.
As we always do, we ask that you pray and have a conversation with Jesus. If your heart is being stirred and motivated by Jesus, ask Him how to respond. This is an opportunity to give above and beyond what you’re already doing, as the Lord leads. Designate your giving for "Sybil's Kids' House" through our app or website.
At Pleasant Valley Church, our journey is deeply rooted in the transformative grace of Jesus Christ. These four foundational beliefs not only guide us in our mission but also stand as the essence of our faith and practice. United in this purpose, our staff is wholeheartedly committed to serving our community, steadfastly drawing upon these anchors as our guiding principles in everything we do.
Jesus Christ is central to everything we do. We strive to place Him at the forefront of all our gatherings, teachings, and activities. Our goal is to lead people to encounter Jesus Christ in all His glory, teaching them to worship Him in every aspect of their lives and to follow His teachings faithfully.
We believe in the life-giving power of God's Word. Our commitment is to immerse our community in the Scriptures, encouraging personal and collective engagement with the Bible. We emphasize the importance of prayer and study, helping believers understand and apply God's truth in their daily lives.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our faith. We focus on teaching and modeling the transformative power of the Gospel, which guides our actions, relationships, and worldview. Through the Gospel, we find the means for daily sanctification and the promise of eternal life.
Our hope is anchored in the return of Jesus Christ. We emphasize the importance of living a life of mission and service, using our gifts to glorify God and spread His love. We prepare our community for Christ's return by encouraging a life of active faith, service, and anticipation.

"It’s my current heart cry, spiritual growth theme song. If you still have breath in your lungs, you’re not done!"
This book was such an encouragement to me. It is easy to feel lonely, even when you are around a lot of people. This book helps you think through how to make deep connections with others and grow a community around you.
